Lotus Elise 111S
. Full engine re-build carried out by RMS Ltd.
. Only 3 former keepers.
The Lotus Elise was introduced in Autumn 1996 as a two-seat, Rear wheel drive, Mid-engined Roadster. The S1 Elise was built around an aluminium chassis with a hand finished fibreglass body which weighed in at just 725kg. This ‘Light Is Right’ philosophy made for a very agile car with an exceptionally low centre of gravity. The S1 Elise 111S is powered by a Rover K Series 1.8 litre engine which produces 143 bhp and propels the car from 0-60mph in just over 5.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 150mph.
The Lotus Elise S1 111S offered here at Autostorico is a 2000 “W plate” which is finished in Azure Blue metallic with Grey Corbeau seats. Having covered 65,208 miles this 3 owner example was purchased by its current owner in 2006. Having been maintained regardless of cost with a full engine re-build carried out by RMS Ltd a Lotus specialist in 2021, including new cylinder linings, pistonheads, port polishing, clutch, triple layer head gasket, cambelt, water pump and extra large throttle body.
