Lotus Elise S1 Roadster
The Lotus Elise was introduced in Autumn 1996 as a two-seat, Rear wheel drive, Mid-engined Roadster. The S1 Elise was built around an aluminium chassis with a hand finished fibreglass body which weighed in at just 725kg. This ‘Light Is Right’ philosophy made for a very agile car with an exceptionally low centre of gravity. The S1 Elise is powered by a Rover K Series 1.8 litre engine which produces 118bhp and propels the car from 0-60mph in just 5.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 150mph.
The Lotus Elise S1 offered here at Autostorico is a 1999 “T plate” which is finished in Azure Blue metallic with Black leather interior. Having covered 59,474 miles this lovely example, was supplied through Haydon Cars Ltd, a Lotus main agent. Over and above the standard specification the car benefits from the following factory options; Leather trim, Cobra Alarm system, Radio fitting kit, Driving lamps, Aluminium sports exhaust system, Hand brake sleeve, Door trim clips, Aluminium window winders and Carpet mats.
Supplied with a history file including original book pack, order form, Invoices and MOT certificates.
