Jaguar MKII 3.8 Saloon
The Jaguar MKII 3.8 offered here at Autostorico is finished in its original colour combination of Opalescent Bronze metallic with Magnolia leather interior trim and is fitted with the factory option of power steering.
Originally supplied new by Jaguar Cars of New York in February 1961, this lovely example spent most of its life in America. Ownership passed to its current owner a Finish businessman who has owned the car for 30 years and lives in the UK. He undertook a sympathetic restoration, which included a mechanical overhaul of the engine and drivetrain. He also fitted a period correct synchro manual gearbox with overdrive rather than its original specified factory automatic unit. Attention then passed to the cosmetic appearance of the car with a bare metal respray.
The car made regular trips to the owner’s house in Finland. During this time the car was looked after regardless of cost by British Classics in Helsinki, with the only modification being adding an electronic distributor which further added to the car’s performance.
Displaying an indicated 61,100 miles this stunning example benefits from Chrome wire wheels and its original tool kit.
Offered for sale with a current V5 registration document and a history file containing Jaguar heritage certificate, a copy of its original sales invoice, owner’s manual and other related material.
